Terry Borman

Terry Borman apprenticed in France and graduated from the Violin Making School of America. He opened his own shop in Salt Lake City in 1986 and in 2005 relocated to Arkansas. His instruments are played in many major symphony orchestras and are owned by a remarkable group of well-known soloists. These include Jaime Laredo, Pinchas Zukerman, Anne Akiko Meyers, and Pamela Frank, who calls him “this generation’s del Gesu.” He conducts acoustics research to advance the field and has published in scientific as well as violin-specific journals.
